How To Get Women’s World Cup Tickets For As Cheap As $10

The draw is in; the schedules are set. Now all you need to know is how to buy 2019 Women's World Cup tickets to take in all the action in France.

FIFA held the Women’s World Cup draw on Dec. 8 with plenty of pomp and ceremony. The USWNT was drawn into a fairly easy group, but that just means the knockout rounds will be particularly tough compared to other top teams.

Women’s World Cup ticket packages went on sale in October, with fans able to cop three to seven tickets for amazingly affordable prices. Tickets for the semifinals and final were too cheap, it turns out, as they quickly sold out.

Now, those wondering how to buy Women's World Cup tickets have a couple options to catch a match or 20 in France this summer.

How To Buy Women's World Cup Tickets 2019

Individual tickets for the 2019 Women’s World Cup went on presale on Dec. 10. Anyone with a Visa credit card can buy Women’s World Cup tickets between Dec. 10-23 before anyone else. After that, ticket sales open up for people who want to pay with something other than a very specific credit card.

Tickets for group-stage matches start at as little as €9, or about $10, with the exception of the opening match between France and South Korea. The ticket portal allows you to search for specific knockout-round matches, though many of those (namely the semifinals and final) quickly sold out. Round of 16 matches start at about $15, quarterfinals at $17, semifinals at $19 and final at $26.

It is unclear if more tickets will be made available for these matches during later phases of Women’s World Cup ticket sales.

Unlike the men’s World Cup, FIFA has been a bit coy releasing information about ticket sales, such as when each phase will start and how long each phase will last. For instance, the “Tickets Package Sales Phase” just says Oct. 19 to first quarter 2019. Presumably, full individual Women’s World Cup ticket sales will begin after the presale ends on Dec. 23, though the specific date hasn’t been announced by FIFA.
