The United States World Cup roster was officially revealed on Tuesday as FOX broadcasted the reveal party in New York City. The 26 players announced were the same 26 from the roster that The Guardian leaked three days prior.
Enough chit-chat, let’s take a look at the players who head coach Mauricio Pochettino chose to represent the United States men’s national team in the home World Cup this summer.

Two of the biggest names left off the roster were Diego Luna and Tanner Tessmann. Luna appeared in 17 of the USA’s 18 games in 2025 and scored four goals. He even makes a cameo in FOX’s “Everything Can Happen” commercial showing the U.S. win the World Cup.
Many fans thought that Luna would provide a spark off the bench in the World Cup, however the Real Salt Lake forward will stay home for the big event.
Tessmann had a solid season in France with Lyon making 40+ appearances for the club this season. The American defensive midfielder helped the club finish fourth in Ligue 1.
Despite appearing in all six of the USMNT’s most recent games (and starting three of them), he was left off the roster in favor of Cristian Roldan.
The USMNT will begin their home campaign on June 12 against Paraguay.
