Inter Miami wins first-ever MLS playoff match; cruises past Atlanta United
Inter Miami defeated Atlanta United 2-1 to win their first-ever MLS playoff match in Fort Lauderdale's Chase Stadium on Friday.
The former FC Barcelona duo comprised of Luis Suárez and Jordi Alba delivered the pair of goals that put Miami closer to the next round. Messi also provided an assist.

Despite not appearing on the scoresheet, however, the Inter Miami No. 10 had yet another historic night, but this time outside of the pitch as the Argentine captain brought thousands of viewers to watch his never-before-seen livestream on TikTok.
Major League Soccer, following the conclusion of the MLS regular season, announced that they would be live-streaming a Messi-focused broadcast during their match against Atlanta this weekend — focusing on the 8-time Ballon d’Or winner’s every move during the match. And it was, indeed, a huge success.

It was reported that Messi gathered over 125,000 concurrent live viewers during the livestream, with millions of fans from around the world tuning in to watch the Argentine take on his first-ever MLS playoff game.
