5 Fantasy Premier League Sleepers For Your 2022-23 Squad

Are you looking for Fantasy Premier League advice? Fantasy Premier League sleepers for the upcoming campaign? Well you've come to the right place, old chap. It's a special edition of Fantasy Club EPL.

Fantasy Premier League Sleepers 2022-23

Callum Wilson | Forward | Newcastle United

Newcastle's attack should improve this season with Matt Targett and Kieran Trippier providing service from the full-back positions, Bruno Guimarães operating in midfield and Allan Saint-Maximin wreaking havoc out wide, and the main beneficiary of all this will be striker Callum Wilson.

Wilson is being trusted to lead the line by Eddie Howe, and the 30-year-old — if he remains healthy – could come close to matching his 2018-19 totals with Bournemouth (14 goals and 12 assists), which would make him a top three forward at a very modest price.

Gabriel Martinelli | Midfielder | Arsenal

Cost: 6.0

The 21-year-old Brazilian took the next step in his development last year with 29 appearances (21 starts) and a return of six goals and six assists while playing out on the left-hand side of Arsenal's attack.

With compatriot Gabriel Jesus joining him in attack and Bukayo Saka emerging as one of the division's biggest threats on the right, this could be Martinelli's breakthrough season in Fantasy Premier League.

Taiwo Awoniyi | Forward | Nottingham Forest

Cost: 6.0

Taiwo Awoniyi was part of Nigeria's celebrated youth squad that won the U-17 World Cup in 2013 behind the brilliance of Leicester City star Kelechi Iheanacho. Awoniyi also stood out at that tournament and was soon on his way to Liverpool, but his career stalled with seven different loan moves in six years before a permanent transfer to Union Berlin in the Bundesliga.

The 24-year-old had a breakthrough campaign last season with 15 goals in 31 appearances, and newly promoted Nottingham Forest made him the club's record signing at $20 million. If Forest proves the darling of the new sides (they've spent over $60 million) then it's Awoniyi who'll be bagging the goals.

Leon Bailey | Midfielder | Aston Villa

Cost: 5.0

Leon Bailey's price has dropped to reflect a hugely disappointing season following a $35 million switch from Bayer Leverkusen. The 24-year-old Jamaican only scored once after routinely lighting up the Bundesliga, but we're not ready go give up on one of Concacaf's leading lights.

Eric Dier | Defender | Tottenham

Cost: 5.0

With Harry Kane, Son Heung-min and Richarlison leading Tottenham's attack, Antonio Conte's focus in his first full season in charge will be transforming the defense into a formidable beast. At the heart of Conte's back three is Eric Dier, who finished 12th in scoring among defenders last season.

The 28-year-old is targeting a return to the England squad for the World Cup, and given Tottenham's grueling preseason preparation, we wouldn't be surprised to see both Spurs and Dier excelling in the campaign's opening months.

The Biggest Sleeper XI Of Them All

Here's my build of exclusively Concacaf players + two Ghana defenders + CR7. You still have 17.5 leftover to bury out back. Feel free to use this in your league.
