Video has emerged from Tottenham’s preseason training session in South Korea of players struggling massively with Antonio Conte’s fitness regiment.
Spurs arrived in Seoul ahead of their pair of preseason games and hosted an open training session in front of 6,000 fans. What these spectators witnessed was surprising, to say the least.
These players have been training now for nearly 2 hours. Some have dropped to the floor (a number of times) but are simply told "get up and go again".
I have NEVER seen players worked so hard during any pre-season. Even Kane and Son dropped expecting it was the last length! #COYS pic.twitter.com/61ZPRkNib2— Chris Cowlin (@ChrisCowlin) July 11, 2022
Players were collapsing everywhere with Harry Kane even seen vomiting. The players were certainly put through their paces, including Kane and Son Heung-min, who were enduring their first training sessions of the preseason.

Training began with organized team drills for the squad followed by a stunning 42 laps up and down the field for those who completed the session. It should be noted that Kane and Son were kept to just 30 laps due to their lack of prior training. Conte and his training staff have long been known for putting their teams through intense physical training, with Romelu Lukaku calling training “a warzone” during his time at Inter Milan.

Whether this is too much for the players remains to be seen. However, it looks to simply be a case of Conte using his usual measures to ensure that his side is prepared not just for preseason but for the Premier League season that kicks off in just over a month's time.
