Cristiano Ronaldo’s new contract details after Al Nassr extension are INSANE

Cristiano Ronaldo signed a two year extension with Saudi Arabian side Al Nassr and the details of his new contract are mindboggling. CR7 is receiving a contract that the sports world has never seen before.

Ronaldo, 40, will stay with Al Nassr until 2027 and the Riyadh club broke the bank, and then another bank to keep the Portuguese icon in Saudi Arabia.

If you’re not a mathematician, all you need to know is that on Ronaldo’s salary alone he will be making roughly $671,000 every day. This means every two days CR7 makes over a million dollars.

It was heavily speculated that Ronaldo was set to depart the club after his previous contract expired, however Al Nassr were able to persuade him to stay.

Shortly after Ronaldo’s contract expired he went on to win the UEFA Nations League with Portugal, scoring in the final.

It marked the third time lifting a trophy for his country.

Trophies have been hard to come by during his time with Al Nassr. The club had high aspirations when they initially signed Ronaldo back in 2022, but the silverware hasn’t arrived.

Al Nassr finished third in the league this past season, second in the 2023-24 campaign and again were runners-up in 2022-23. In the AFC Champions League, Ronaldo and Al Nassr fell in the semifinal this season and the quarterfinal the year prior.

The goals are the one thing that hasn't stopped for Ronaldo as he’s found the back of the net 93 times in his 105 appearances for the club.

Ronaldo is aiming at finishing his career with 1,000 goals, a feat that no player has ever accomplished. He currently has 938 career goals.
