Erling Haaland reveals the bizarre carnivore diet fueling his goalscoring festival in Manchester City

20 goals in just 13 games for Manchester City. What Erling Haaland does every time he goes onto a soccer pitch seems out of this world, not human. The Norwegian is mauling every competition he sets foot in and questions are starting to pile up trying to understand how he does what he does.

Exercises? Routines? Diet? What's the darn secret?

Well, in a documentary called "Haaland: The big decision" – which tells the story behind his transfer from Borussia Dortmund to Manchester City – the striker himself sheds light on the things he does to keep shattering records.

The documentary follows Haaland from the first thing he does when he wakes up to his very uncommon and carnivore diet.

Haaland's revelations are not very detailed, but they show how committed he is when it's time to take care of his body.

The Norwegian phenomenon admitted that once he wakes up he immediately goes for a dose of daylight in his eyes.

"It's good for circadian rhythm," he said.

But the most captivating piece of information coming from the documentary – at least about his daily routines –  is the diet he follows, which includes liver and heart beef. Yeah, liver and heart!

To be honest, both are delicious. However, since liver and heart beef are not that common, it seems something shocking. It's almost as shocking as when an icy-blue eyed android look-a-like as Haaland takes two frozen bags from the fridge and presents them to his interviewers in a very daunting room.

Chills.

At any rate - and contrary to any PCP recommendation – Haaland thinks his food choices are helping.

"I am concerned with taking care of my body and I think eating quality food that is as local as possible is the most important," he said. "A lot of things influence health – for example, people talk about meat not being healthy. OK. Which meat? The meat you get at McDonald's? Or the local cow eating grass right over there?"

But not only what he eats is important. Haaland also takes care of what he drinks. And one thing for sure is he doesn't get his water from the faucet.

"I have started to filtrate my water a bit," he confessed while showing a very complex system on his sink. "I think it can have great benefits for my body."

And well, it seems to be working more than OK for his game, too.
