Tigres VS. Pumas Reminded Everyone Why Liga MX Is The Most Entertaining League In The World

I will set the scene: Tigres are up 3-0 on Pumas after thoroughly dominating the first leg of the 2015 Liga MX final.

The second leg, though, ended up being one of the craziest games we have ever seen, in a final to boot. Pumas needed something damn near a miracle to come back and win, but this is Liga MX, and anything is possible. Lalo Herrera got Pumas on to the comeback trail just before half time.

And in the 55th minute Pumas scored again, setting up a tension-filled final 35 minutes (or more).

After 87 minutes, Silvio Torales made it all but certain we were headed for 30 more, completing the Pumas comeback.

At this point it looked like we were headed for an important milestone: making it through 90 minutes of Liga MX soccer without anyone seeing red. Fortunately, Lalo Herrera was there to save us.

In extra time, Andre-Pierre Gignac did what he's been doing all year: scoring important goals for Tigres.

A Hugo Ayala red card (second yellow) evened the teams up at 10 men apiece, which allowed Pumas to do this:

On to penalties. Like this thing wasn't headed for a shootout the whole time. Tigres finally finished Pumas off from the spot.

Other leagues take note: THAT is how you cap off a season. With lunacy. Thanks Liga MX.
