Kazuyoshi Miura, a.k.a. "King Kazu," broke his own goalscoring record as he headed in a goal for Yokohama FC against FC Gifu this weekend. At an unbelievable 49 years, three months and 24 days, King Kazu broke his own record as the oldest goalscorer in Japan's J-League 2.

Miura already holds the record as the oldest professional player, and his career has seem him traverse the globe, as he enjoyed spells in Brazil, Italy, Croatia and Australia, as well as his native Japan. Incredibly, even though he scored 55 goals in 89 appearances for the Japan national team, he never played in a World Cup.
Miura still has quite a way to go before he can call himself the oldest footballer to have ever played, however. Neil McBain holds the record as the oldest player in Football League history, having made an appearance for New Brighton at the ripe old age of 51. There was also legendary Chivas striker Salvador Reyes, who made an honorary appearance at age 71 against Pumas in 2008.

However, if King Kazu keeps this kind of form up, we don't think he'll have any problem breaking those records. His longevity is definitely impressive, although not nearly as impressive as his dance.
