The United States men’s national team will be without star player Christian Pulisic for the upcoming November friendlies against Paraguay and Uruguay. For fans asking why is Pulisic not playing for US? Here’s why.
Pulisic is still recovering from a hamstring injury he suffered while playing for the USMNT against Australia on Oct. 14. The U.S. national team and Pulisic’s club AC Milan have made an agreement to keep the 27-year-old forward in Italy for the November international window.

Pulisic has missed Milan’s previous four games due to the injury. According to Milan manager Massimiliano Allegri, the American is close to returning to action and could be in the lineup for the Rossoneri’s game vs. Parma on Saturday.
With Pulisic nearing a return to full health it appears Milan don’t want to risk another injury while on international duty. There’s a somewhat important game waiting for Pulisic and Milan on the other end of the November international break: The Derby della Madonnina against Inter.
Two extra weeks of recovery for Pulisic’s hamstring will be exactly what Milan want for their star forward who has recorded eight goal contributions (six goals, two assists) in eight games so far this season.
