Solskjær On Possible Ibrahimovic Return: 'I'll Always Speak To Zlatan'

Maybe, just maybe, Ole Gunnar Solskjær doesn’t trust Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood as much as he led on.

The Norwegian had stated he trusts the attackers he has available in his squad. Yet, there could be a chance of a former player coming back to Manchester United.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic said a few days ago that, “If Manchester United needs me, I’m here.”

Is a return to Old Trafford on the cards for Zlatan? Solskjær wouldn’t mind it.

Zlatan played 53 matches for Manchester United, scoring 29 goals from 2016 to 2018. Unfortunately, a nagging injury kept Zlatan out for quite some time and prompted a move to the LA Galaxy in MLS. After the departure of Romelu Lukaku and Alexis Sanchez, Solskjær and Manchester United could use some reinforcements.

"If he was 28 and not 38 (in October), there's a big difference," Solskjaer told a news conference on Friday. "Zlatan had a great time here; he's still doing well. It's unfortunate he got his injury here. Who knows, he knows my number, he looked at my house (when he was here). We can speak a native language.

"If he's serious, I'll always speak to Zlatan. I don't think that will happen. I think he's had his time at the club; he's had a fantastic career at the club."

Even if he’s not optimistic about Zlatan’s return, the door is definitely open. At the age of 37, Ibrahimovic is still going strong. For the LA Galaxy, Zlatan has scored 44 goals in 49 appearances, and while MLS is levels below the Premier League, the Swede should be just fine if he returns to Manchester.
