Watch Hernan Cristante Try To Choke Out Miguel Herrera

Watching Miguel Herrera fight is not new for Mexican fans. Since early on in his career, "El Piojo" has been known for his temper and explosiveness.

Over the years, we have repeatedly seen Herrera lose his mind and become violent.

Be it against rivals on the pitch in his time as a player, kicking a pitch-invading fan during an interview or as an enraged manager chasing after then-rival now Club America player Darwin Quintero, Herrera has been involved in several incidents involving physical violence.

Physical aggression toward a reporter even cost him his job as Mexico National Team boss back in 2015.

Last weekend, once again we witnessed Herrera on the verge of starting a massive fight.

Club America hosted Toluca in a high-voltage Liga MX clash.

Las Águilas scored early after a surprising counter-attack in the 2nd minute.

However, Rubens Sambueza scored the equalizer in the 10th minute.

Up to then it was an interesting and entertaining game.

However, the referee sent América's Bruno Valdez off in the 35th minute. He had seen the yellow card earlier for protesting.

From then on the game changed and so did the mood.

In the second half, Miguel Herrera and Toluca manager Hernán Cristante engaged in an argument after a tackle near the sidelines and the situation rapidly escalated into what could have been a massive fight.

Here are the images for you to judge.

After a slight push from Herrera, Cristante reacted by grabbing El Piojo by the neck.

You can see then Herrera utters a few phrases which, if you know Spanish and are able to read lips, will no doubt recognize as romantic poetry verses.

However, things did not get totally out of control. Cristante and Herrera were separated and sent off by the referee.

As they walked toward the locker rooms, the entire stadium was expecting to see some kind of epilogue to the altercation.

However, Cristiante and Herrera had cooled down by then and even exchanged a few smiles on their way to the tunnel.

As expected, the internet exploded with memes commenting the incident.

Maybe Miguel Herrera is controlling his temper in order to be granted a second chance at becoming Mexico's manager?
