Pulisic is back, ladies and gents.
Christian Pulisic wasted no time getting back on the scoresheet, netting a goal in AC Milan’s 2-0 victory over SSC Bari in the opening match of the Italian 2025/26 season.
The win came in the Coppa Italia, with the rossoneri kicking off their campaign at home in front of an enthusiastic San Siro crowd.
The U.S. men’s national team forward started the match and had a relatively quiet first half, as Milan struggled to break down a compact Bari side. Portuguese star Rafael Leão opened the scoring, giving the home side a 1-0 lead going into the break.

The goal was a confident reminder of the form that saw him register a career-best 17 goals and 12 assists in 50 appearances last season.
The 26-year-old was subbed off in the 66th minute to a warm ovation, with fellow USMNT player Yunus Musah replacing him in midfield. Milan saw out the remainder of the match with little trouble, securing their place in the next round of the cup.
With a positive start behind them, AC Milan now turn their focus to the Serie A season, where they’ll host Cremonese on Saturday, August 23 at 2:45 p.m. EST.
