Pulisic is back, ladies and gents.

Christian Pulisic wasted no time getting back on the scoresheet, netting a goal in AC Milan’s 2-0 victory over SSC Bari in the opening match of the Italian 2025/26 season.

The U.S. men’s national team forward started the match and had a relatively quiet first half, as Milan struggled to break down a compact Bari side. Portuguese star Rafael Leão opened the scoring, giving the home side a 1-0 lead going into the break.

Pulisic, however, made his mark just two minutes into the second half.

After a sharp link-up with teammate and Mexico international Santiago Giménez, Pulisic executed a clever turn-and-shoot finish to double Milan's advantage.

The goal was a confident reminder of the form that saw him register a career-best 17 goals and 12 assists in 50 appearances last season.

The 26-year-old was subbed off in the 66th minute to a warm ovation, with fellow USMNT player Yunus Musah replacing him in midfield. Milan saw out the remainder of the match with little trouble, securing their place in the next round of the cup.
