Bayern Munich seems to have caught an injury bug the likes of which many would have thought was only reserved for Arsenal or Borussia Dortmund.
9 players are out with injuries or sickness; Arjen Robben, Franck Ribéry, Claudio Pizzaro, David Alaba, Tom Starke, Javi Martínez, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Medhi Benatia, and Sinan Kurt (flu). Four more are just returning from injury, or have some other problem; Holger Badstuber, Jerome Boateng, Thiago Alcantara, and Philipp Lahm.
Bayern’s Manager, Pep Guardiola, has called the situation “critical, very critical.”
Bayern and Porto face off this Wednesday, April 15th.
Despite the injury crisis, Bayern Munich are still favored to advance to the semi-finals.
