In the new Marvel Studios film, ‘Deadpool & Wolverine’ — a movie that sees Reynold’s Deadpool encounter a number of Deadpool variants (or versions of the super hero from other universes) — one particular version of Deadpool that immediately caught every soccer fan’s eyes while watching the movie, turned out to be played by a familiar face after all.

Reynolds released pictures from behind set on Monday morning confirming the role of Mullin as ‘Welshpool’ in the film, inspired by Reynold’s ownership of the Welsh EFL League One club Wrexham AFC.

“You may have noticed one member of the Deadpool Corps was far deadlier than the rest. WELSHPOOL” wrote Reynolds on X.

Mullin had a short cameo in the third act of the movie, where hundreds of variants take on Reynolds' Deadpool.

Since Reynolds and Rob McElhenney's arrival as co-owners of Wrexham in 2020, Mullin has undoubtedly been the club’s best player. The Englishman has scored 105 goals in 129 matches, leading the club to back-to-back promotions.
