Premier League referee David Coote has been suspended and is now being investigated by UEFA following a video posted by The Sun showing him snorting white powder and then another clip of him making vulgar comments about former Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp.
The video allegedly took place in July this summer while Coote was on duty for Euro 2024 as support VAR. The 42-year-old was staying in a hotel assigned by UEFA.
The videos speak for themselves as it’s hard to imagine Coote coming back from this controversy.

The referee has worked in VAR along as a main referee. He was in charge of Liverpool's 2-0 victory vs. Aston Villa on Nov. 9. He's also been the head referee for several big games including the 2023 Carbao Cup final featuring Manchester United and Newcastle.

Coote was scheduled to work VAR for November UEFA Nations League games but was removed by UEFA.
