The “Brilliant Kit” and “Heartbeat Kit” will be worn for the next year.
The first is an exciting white kit with a star-pattern design paying homage to 40 years of the USWNT. It’s important to note that the Brilliant Kit will only be worn by the USWNT. The men will continue to wear their current white jerseys.
The Heartbeat Kit is one of the more unique designs for the U.S. national team with a dark blue base illuminated with vibrant vertical blue and red lines. Both teams will wear the Heartbeat Kit.
Several players on both national teams were involved in the designs. U.S. Soccer said in a statement that Lynn Biyendolo, Naomi Girma, Sophia Wilson, Kellyn Acosta, DeAndre Yedlin and Walker Zimmerman all played a part in the new threads.
U.S. Soccer fans react to new kits
It’s no secret that U.S. Soccer fans have been consistently disappointed in Nike’s designs over the past decade. A run of lackluster kits has resulted in some fans dreading what each new year will bring design wise.
This time around the room appears split on what to think. Here were reactions from fans.
Can’t tell if it’s ass yet. Need to see the shorts & socks first

The white jersey is okay . That stripe jersey is terrible . Come @nike you can do better .

I actually like both of these… I mean they aren’t the BEST but it’s the first time in a while that I’ve liked both ♀️

US somehow finds a way to make their kits worse and worse every single time

Consistently the worst kits in the World. Just want a good one - just one! If you need to, bring back Waldo!

“Designed by Nike” is a mistake that we’ve been making for years, when are we finally going to make a switch?

These are lovely. We finally get two kit sets that are top tier.

Meanwhile the USMNT will don their new dark jersey on June 7 during a friendly vs. Turkey.
