Ted Lasso set to return for new season on Apple TV+

Apple TV’s hit TV show, Ted Lasso, could be making a return to the small screen for a fourth season.

The hugely popular sports-comedy drama, which had originally ‘concluded’ after three seasons in 2023, is reportedly working to get the cast back for a surprising return to the streaming service, with Warner Bros. Television already discussing the terms of original cast members’ returns.

According to Deadline (who were the first media outlet to report on the return), Warner Bros. have picked up the options on Hannah Waddingham (Rebecca Walton), Brett Goldstein (Roy Kent) and Jeremy Swift (Leslie Higgins) — all actors contracted under the aegis of the UK acting union Equity. After completing their return, the studio will begin working on the remaining Ted Lasso cast with SAG-AFTRA contracts whose options had expired, including Jason Sudeikis (Ted Lasso) and Brendan Hunt (Coach Beard).

It's uncertain who has or will be approached for a Season 4 appearance, but reports suggest that a writer's room is starting to come together. However, much of the show's future hinges on Sudeikis' involvement.
