Anyone who grew up in the ‘90s has an affinity for the Simpsons. Your parents probably didn’t let you watch it, but you watched it anyway, and you loved it. Sure, the series has had its ups and downs — who among us hasn’t by the time we reached 30? — but it’s an iconic show in American culture. That’s why we absolutely love these soccer players drawn as Simpsons characters.
Over the last month and a half, Italian artist Stefano Monda has been posting drawings of famous footballers in Matt Groening’s recognizable style. It started with Paris Saint-Germain’s forward trio of Kylian Mbappé, Edinson Cavani and Neymar (replete with a pink-frosted donut floating in the sky) and has grown to include players like Ronaldinho, Bobby Firmino, Sergio Ramos and Mauro Icardi.

Many of the drawings include the players’ families, often including their pets.
Not all the drawings are of footballers, but you should check out all of Monda’s work on his Instagram page (@steart__). Below, we’ve picked out our favorites just for you to enjoy.
