Christian Pulisic exits Milan game early grabbing his left hamstring, new injury for USMNT star

A Christian Pulisic injury vs Como 1907 on Tuesday saw the United States men’s national team forward exit the game in the first half grabbing at his left hamstring. Pulisic had just returned from a month-long hiatus due to a calf issue.

In the 43rd minute Pulisic attempted a tackle on a Como player, extending his left leg. It’s unclear what went wrong, however after the tackle Pulisic was in visible pain and hobbling before going down.

He made the signal that he needed to be substituted and was grabbing at his left hamstring.

The severity of the injury is not yet known. Pulisic was able to walk off the field under his own power. He’ll be doubtful for Milan’s big Serie A game against Juventus on Saturday.

Pulisic’s latest injury doesn’t appear to be related to the calf issue he was dealing with in December. He made his return to the pitch from his previous injury on Jan. 3 and played the full 90 minutes in Milan’s last three games.

Injures plagued Pulisic’s time with Chelsea, but he’d managed to avoid them with Milan until the past few months.

The 26-year-old has been one of Milan’s most important players this season with 10 goals and seven assists in all competitions.
