Cristiano Ronaldo attempted to “break the internet” on Thursday when he released a video on his YouTube channel with an interview featuring social media icon MrBeast. Perhaps the most interesting part of the video was when MrBeast asked if Ronaldo wanted to play professionally with his son.
NBA superstar LeBron James made history this year when he played in a regular season game alongside his son, Bronny. MrBeast asked if Ronaldo could repeat the accomplishment with his son, Cristiano Ronaldo Jr.

Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. is 14 and plays in the Al Nassr academy. His father, 39, is likely nearing the end of his career, however, continues to age like fine wine as he scored his 910th career goal in style with a bicycle kick vs. Poland.

Should Cristiano Ronaldo Jr. have an opportunity to debut in the next few years, it’s not totally out of the question for a 42-year-old Ronaldo to play at a professional level.
There have been a few rare instances in soccer history of fathers and sons playing as teammates. Brazil legend Rivaldo played with his son Rivaldinho in 2015 for Mogi Mirim. They made history when they both scored in a 3-1 victory. Rivaldo was 43 and Rivaldinho was 20.
Another recent example was in 2013 when Sweden’s Henrik Larsson finished his career with fourth-tier Hogaborgs HK and played with his 15-year-old son, Jordan.
Zlatan Ibrahimovic trained with his 16-year-old son Maximilian in 2023 when the two were at AC Milan, however the two never featured in a game together.
If Ronaldo and his son played in a game together that would truly break the internet.
