N’Golo Kanté gets angry with referee’s decision and the call immediately gets changed

France midfielder N’Golo Kanté is loved worldwide for his calmness on the field and a smile that could solve all the world’s problems. Kanté plays for Al Ittihad in the Saudi Pro League and is continuing to do what he does best: make crunching tackles with a cool head.

That was the case until Tuesday’s King’s Cup battle against Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr. In a rare flash of anger, fans got to see Kanté upset.

In the 89th minute with his side leading 1-0, Kanté had the ball deep in his team’s final third. An opposing player poked the ball away from the Frenchman and out for a throw in. The referee ruled that it was Al Nassr’s ball and Kanté couldn’t believe it.

Kanté yelled at the referee and the call was immediately changed.

Even the commentators were in disbelief with one saying, “I think that’s the first time I’ve ever seen him (Kanté) show emotions!”

We don’t have official statistics, however we’d argue that there have been more solar eclipses during Kanté’s career than there have been instances where he gets angry.

The 34-year-old midfielder put in a full shift for Al Ittihad on Tuesday helping them defeat CR7’s Al Nassr 2-1 despite going down a man in the 49th minute.
