Real Madrid Players Make World Nervous By Tossing 62-Year-Old Ancelotti In Air After LaLiga Crown

Real Madrid captured its 35th league title on Saturday after cruising to a 4-0 victory vs. Espanyol at the Santiago Bernabéu. Joyous scenes followed the victory with a trophy lift and a funny, but a little nervy moment for viewers with the manager. Watch as the Real Madrid players throw Carlo Ancelotti in the air after the game.

Real Madrid Players Throw Carlo Ancelotti

Ancelotti isn’t a spring chicken, and I couldn’t help but pray his players didn’t drop him. Thankfully Real Madrid players were just as good with their hands as they have been with their feet all season.

Ancelotti deserves the recognitio. He made history as the first manager to win a league title in all of Europe’s big five leagues. One year ago, he was managing a doomed Everton side. Now he has arguably the greatest managerial resume in history.

The season isn’t smooth roads from here on out. Ancelotti and his side still have a Champions League title in their sights and will host Manchester City on Wednesday. If Ancelotti leads Los Blancos to a European title it will be his fourth Champions League title as a manager.

Ancelotti did an incredible job in the 2021-22 season to lead Real Madrid to LaLiga glory. He got the absolute best out of 36-year-old Luka Modric and 34-year-old Karim Benzema. The two timeless stars worked brilliantly under Ancelotti and Benzema found the net yet again on Saturday.

Benzema leads the league with 26 LaLiga goals.

Real Madrid has all the reason to celebrate.

If you’re curious, Gareth Bale wasn’t in the squad for Saturday’s game with an apparent back discomfort. He wasn’t spotted during any of the celebrations so perhaps he was celebrating remotely… from a golf course most likely.
