Watch: Christian Pulisic scores his 10th Serie A goal of the season with superb finish

A fantastic Christian Pulisic goal vs Lecce on Saturday opened the scoring of AC Milan’s 3-0 victory and set a personal record for the American.

Milan manager Stefano Pioli gave Pulisic a new role for the Lecce game as the USMNT forward started as a center attacking midfielder instead on his usual role at right wing. Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Milan’s go-to No. 10, was out for the game through suspension.

Pulisic made an early impact in his new position opening the scoring in the sixth minute with a classy finish from the top of the box.

This strike marked Pulisic’s 10th goal in Serie A this season, surpassing his career best of nine league goals in a single season with Chelsea back in 2019-20.

In all competitions Pulisic has recorded 13 goals and eight assists.

Pulisic nearly had a second goal in the first half when his free header from close range was saved by Lecce’s Wladimiro Falcone.

Overall, the American had a solid shift in the No. 10 role and was substituted in the 62nd minute for his fellow USMNT teammate Yunus Musah.

Pulisic didn’t start Milan’s previous game as he reportedly wasn’t fully fit which could explain his early substitution on Saturday. Perhaps Pioli is saving him for Milan’s big Europa League quarterfinal clash with Roma on Thursday.
