Club America's Darwin Quintero allegedly tried to hit ESPN reporter Marcelino Fernandez with a ball during a training session.
Footage shows the reporter live streaming while a couple shots zoom dangerously past him.
FATAL actitud por parte de Darwin Quintero.

Club America did not take the event lightly. Today, the club issued a formal apology and stated they will be sanctioning Quintero for his 'unfortunate actions', which do not represent the institution's values.
Later on, Quintero declared that it was not his intention to hit the reporter with the ball, but rather a nearby tree.
An otherwise trivial incident, the event brings Quintero into the spotlight in a not very positive light.
There were big expectations for Quintero when he first signed for Club America in 2015.
The former Colombian international has since struggled to fulfill the expectations placed on him by both club and fans.
This is true to the point that at the end of every season there's rumors placing him out of the club.

However, Quintero has somehow managed to stay on board. It looks like he will have serious competition now that brand new signings Jérémy Ménez and Andrés Ibargüen have arrived and are ready to play.
So for his own sake, let's hope he makes the headlines for his positive performance on the pitch rather than bullying a helpless reporter.

What do you think actually happened? Was Quintero really trying to hit Marcelino Fernandez?
If he indeed was, should he be strictly sanctioned for it or should everyone just calm down for a minute and take it with humor?
