Watch: Prime Barcelona days return as Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez roll back the clock vs. Montreal

Lionel Messi and Luis Suárez combined for all four of Inter Miami’s goals on Wednesday during the Herons’ 4-2 home victory against Montreal.

Wednesday night’s game was a vintage Messi and Suárez performance as both forwards bagged a brace and an assist. The two combined twice in the second half as the former Barcelona duo toyed with the visiting defense.

Messi kicked off the scoring in the 27th minute as another fellow Barcelona man, Serigo Busquets, provided the assist.

The Messi-Suárez show hit full form late in the second half as they combined for three goals in the space of 19 minutes.

These highlights look just like old times a decade ago at the Camp Nou.

Messi now has 17 goal contributions (13 goals and four assists) through 19 appearances this season. Suárez has 16 goal contributions (seven goals and nine assists) in 20 games.

Not too shabby for a couple guys in their late 30’s.

The victory was desperately needed for Inter Miami manager Javier Mascherano. The Argentine’s team had managed to win just one of their previous eight games heading into Wednesday’s clash.

Miami sit sixth in the Eastern Conference.
