The 22-year-old received the ball at the edge of the box, faked a shot, took on two defenders and hit a perfect low-driven shot to put the score level.

Rodman hit the back of the net and immediately started running to the opposite end of the pitch, making her way towards NBA legend, Magic Johnson and hitting a slick “Slam Dunk” celebration.

A magical celebration for a magical goal.

Johnson won a staggering five NBA titles with the Los Angeles Lakers, regarded as one of the best basketball players of all time and is now beginning his journey in the soccer world.

The former NBA star’s investment in the Spirit was announced just last Thursday, with the 65-year-old enjoying his first-ever match and win since joining the NWSL club's ownership group. He will be a minority shareholder.

“I had an awesome time at my first Washington Spirit game!" said Johnson on X. "Our fanbase is unbelievable and shoutout to our incredible players for getting an exciting 2-1 win over Portland!
