United States men’s national team fans were furious with their team after a shock 1-0 defeat to Panama in the Concacaf Nations League semifinal on Thursday. Perhaps some of the angriest voices came from former players of the team.
USMNT players from the past were incredibly vocal about their disappointment in the current squad and the mentality of the team.
Former USMNT players call out team
Perhaps the angriest voice was Eric Wynalda’s. The former USMNT forward who made over 100 appearances for the national team from 1990-2000 ripped the current squad to shreds in a nearly two-minute rant.
“I watched our tattooed millionaires embarrass the sh*t out of our country again,” Wynalda said in his tirade.

USMNT icon Landon Donovan also took to social media after the defeat and called out the lack of creativity from the team. Donovan singled out goalkeeper Matt Turner for being put into the starting XI.
“It's a bad night for U.S. soccer fans.”
