Christian Pulisic has made 75 appearances in continental competitions (Champions League and Europa League) during his career and has competed in them during all 10 of his professional seasons. That streak is at risk of ending next season but there’s still hope.
Even during Pulisic’s first senior year with Borussia Dortmund in 2015-16 he made three appearances in the Europa League. Since then he’s been continuously appearing on the biggest stages in Europe.
Playing in a European competition isn’t guaranteed for him and AC Milan next season as the Rossoneri sit NINTH in Serie A with just five games to go. Milan sit six points adrift from sixth place in the league which would see them qualify for the Conference League.
Milan’s last hope is to win the Coppa Italia, a competition they haven’t won in seven years, and qualify for the Europa League next season.
On Wednesday they did the unthinkable and smashed their rivals Inter 3-0 in the semifinal second leg to advance to the final.
Pulisic’s European streak staying alive might all come down to the Coppa Italia final on May 14 where Milan will likely face Bologna.
