Carli Lloyd Announces Who Will Be The New USWNT No. 10 After Donning Number For Over A Decade

The best players in the history of the sport have worn the iconic number ten. Marta, Pelé, Messi and Maradona are fitting company for Lloyd. The 39-year-old has been the USWNT’s No. 10 for almost 14 years. Before Lloyd, Aly Wagner wore the number and Michelle Akers before her.

Horan has 23 goals in 105 appearances with the USWNT. She made her 100th appearance for the national team this summer.

Lloyd will finish her career as the third highest scoring player in USWNT history. After 315 appearances with the USWNT she has scored 134 goals. You wouldn’t doubt her to score a couple more in her final game against South Korea.
