Romanian Striker Scores, Applauds Himself From The Stands

You just have to give yourself a pat on the back sometimes.

The Romanian second division bore witness to what might be one of, if not the best celebration in soccer history. Who would have thought that Romanian striker Stefan Blanaru would provide that celebration. His team Hermannstadt won 4-0 against Luceafarul Oradea, and Blanaru scored twice.

It was his goal in the 80th minute that saw Blanaru display his celebratory genius for all to see. Check out the video below to see how arrogant/innovative/wacky it really is.

The best part is how Blanaru completely ignores all the little kids who are running to high-five him first at the gate, and then even when he runs to the stand to applaud himself. Won’t someone think of the children?! The stadium looked pretty empty anyways so I suppose someone had to cheer for him and the team.
