The World’s Most Entertaining Club Will Drop $5K In Cash From A Helicopter Over Fans

The Las Vegas Lights are at it again.

The most entertaining club in the world — even when not playing soccer especially when not playing soccer — have come up with an(other) absolutely insane publicity stunt to promote the club, and this one doesn't even include llamas.

For the Lights’ United Soccer League match against LA Galaxy II on Sept. 8, the club will put $5,000 in cash into a helicopter and then drop it over 200 lucky fans, allowing them to fight over the precious dollars.

Hey, they don’t call it Cashman Field for nothing.

The fun-haters will say this is a great chance for someone to get injured, but this is Vegas baby! Who cares about getting hurt when you can score some sweet, sweet cash?

The cash drop is just one of a number of events the Las Vegas Lights have planned for the last few games of the season.

On Sept. 26 against Orange County SC, the Lights will give away a free beer to anyone who works in the service industry. Considering it’s Las Vegas, there are likely to be plenty of service-industry workers at the match. My personal favorite is the bobblehead-doll night featuring Cash The Soccer Rocker, Las Vegas Lights' goofy Elvis-looking mascot.

We can't wait to see what they have planned for the regular-season finale on Oct. 10.

The Las Vegas Lights, located in the entertainment capital of the world, have done their best to live up to their city’s name. They signed Freddy Adu, who actually has been decent, have a coach who smokes in the stands after being sent off and have some of the coolest jerseys in the history of sport.

So dropping five grand in cash onto some fans is pretty much par for the course for these guys.

Please, never change.
