A KARDASHIAN IN THE USMNT? — Kim K ‘hopes’ to see son play for U.S. in future World Cup

Kim Kardashian was in charge of announcing the stadium in which the USMNT will play their first game of the upcoming 2026 FIFA World Cup on Sunday.

The global superstar along with her son Saint West (wearing the 2023-24 away Real Madrid jersey) were brought onto the Fox Soccer studio to break the news that SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles will host the USMNT's first group stage match on June 12.

Following the reveal of the stadium, Fox Sports’ Rob Stone asked Saint West what he’s most excited about about having a World Cup basically in his backyard, with the 8-year-old saying he’s relieved about not traveling thousands of miles to see the biggest soccer stars in the world — including one of the USMNT’s. Sorry LAFC and Galaxy.

“I don’t have to travel” he said. “[I’m looking forward to seeing] Weston McKennie” he added.

This is comes after seeing Kim Kardashian take her son around the world to see some of the biggest teams and best players in the world last summer. The Premier League at the Emirates, Parc des Princes to see Mbappé and Neymar Jr., Messi and company in Miami and even personally meeting Cristiano Ronaldo in Saudi Arabia with Al-Nassr.

To close out the segment and in light of the recent Kardashian-soccer connection made worldwide, the pair were asked if they think we will see Saint West trade the stands as a fan to play in a FIFA World Cup, an appearance he would definitely make with the USMNT jersey, in the future. The answer is just what you would expect.

“I hope so” said Kardashian. “I will be the most embarrassing soccer mom on the planet [if it happens], mark my words” she added.

Saint West has been seen playing for an LAFC youth academy in the last year and if he continues to show the same interest in the sport in the future, there’s no doubt we will see him play at a higher level with the hope of fulfilling that ‘World Cup wish’.

Start keeping an eye on him, USMNT.
