Five Seconds That Show Why Liverpool Is Going To Win The Premier League

After a 1-0 win over Brighton & Hove Albion on Saturday, the Liverpool is the only team with three wins from three in the Premier League, though a couple teams could join the Reds in the coming days. A highlight of Liverpool’s win was a five-second display of sublime skill highlighted by a Trent Alexander-Arnold pass, which shows why the Reds might just win the league.

Mohamed Salah scored with a great first-time shot to put Liverpool in front in the 23rd minute against the same Brighton & Hove Albion that took down Manchester United 3-2 a few days earlier. Though Jurgen Klopp’s side didn’t build on that lead, it did showcase Liverpool might be the team that could dethrone Manchester City.

The moment in question came in the 89th minute. Jordan Henderson headed a ball back to 19-year-old right back Trend Alexander-Arnold, who hit a first-time volleyed pass across field to Salah, casual as you like.

Salah then trapped the ball in true Marcelo fashion to start the attack over again.

Stunning stuff from the Reds. And it came hours after Manchester City was held to a 1-1 draw with Wolverhampton.

This Alexander-Arnold pass doesn’t mean the rest of the league is just going to lie down and let Liverpool win its first Premier League title ever and first in the top-division since 1990. But it shows the ability of a team that right now is playing as well as anyone in the league, having yet to allow a single goal.

And also it was just pretty sick to watch. Let’s watch that Alexander-Arnold pass once more from another angle.

And for good measure so you don't have to go searching, here's Mo Salah's slick goal.
