Max Power Scores His First Sunderland Goal, Cements Himself In Ballon d'Or Running

We brought you the news that Max Power, the man with the greatest name according to Homer Simpson, had signed for Sunderland on loan from Wigan Athletic. While we all knew his name was pretty cool, no one really had any idea of his footballing talents.

Well, Max Power has scored for Sunderland: A looping header past Scunthorpe United’s keeper was the opening goal yesterday, and a rampant Sunderland ended up winning 3-0.

Power now has more goals this season than Cristiano Ronaldo. If you ask us, Power should be right up there in contention for the 2018 Ballon d’Or. If CR7 couldn’t do it against a sturdy Chievo Verona outfit, then there’s no chance he could do it on a sunny Sunday at the Stadium Of Light. Especially when fans decide to poop in the stands as opposed to the toilet.

We’re officially campaigning for Max Power to be in the running for the Ballon d’Or. He will be the man to single-handedly bring Sunderland out of League One at the first attempt, and he deserves global recognition for his efforts. #MaxPowerForBallondOr
