Liverpool Fans, Watch Diego Costa Abuse Sergio Ramos Right Here

As a neutral, I’m a big fan of this back and forth between Jurgen Klopp and Sergio Ramos. I hope it continues forever. After Klopp labeled Ramos “ruthless” and “brutal” a couple weeks ago during Liverpool’s preseason tour, Ramos duly responded by saying: “He will be wanting to explain not winning the final, but it’s not the first that he has lost. Some of us have been operating at a very high level for many years — I’m not sure he can say the same.”

Many come at Ramos, few ever escape unscathed. He lives a charmed life — his record of late goals speaks to that — and that’s probably the main reason he’s so despised by everyone outside of Madridistas. The 32-year-old will ultimately get the better of everyone, but that wasn’t the case during the opening of Wednesday's UEFA Super Cup.

Just one minute into the match, Atletico’s Diego Costa won a header in the attacking third over Ramos, elegantly spun and collected his own flick-on, beat World Cup winner Raphael Varane for pace and then roofed his shot over Keylor Navas, leaving Ramos looking like the agricultural “wrestler” that Klopp sees.

But, like I said, Ramos will have his vengeance, in this life or the next.

He actually didn’t have anything to do with the equalizer but what a cross from Gareth Bale.
