Marcus Rashford Reaches 100 PL Games In Style

Marcus Rashford has had anything but a quiet start to his Premier League career. The 21-year-old notched his 100th career appearance in the EPL on Sunday and did not miss a beat.

The Manchester United striker wasted no time when scoring in the ninth minute, which proved too much for Leicester City to answer.

Rashford became the second-youngest Manchester United player to reach 100 appearances in the competition.

He began his professional career on Feb. 25, 2016, when he started for Man United in a Europa League game against Midtjylland.

Rashford broke a 1-1 tie by putting United up, and then he scored again, which was followed by a flood of goals as the club won 5-2. Rashford was already a hero at just 18 years old.

The young Englishman earned himself a starting spot in United’s EPL match with Arsenal just three days later. He again scored twice.

Rashford finished the season with eight goals for United and a name for himself.

He started his sophomore season hot, scoring four goals in his first seven outings, but he had a major cool-off and finished with just 11 goals the entire season. Last season, he registered 15 goals in all competitions, a mark he will soon surpass this season — he currently sits with 13 netted.

Rashford has scored in three of his last four EPL outings and has put a tremendous stamp on United’s eight-game unbeaten streak. He has also scored in four-straight away matches, his last two being the sole goals of the games.

Rashford is no joke and is still learning under some elite EPL players like Paul Pogba, Romelu Lukaku and Juan Mata.
