Fergie Should Sing The Champions League Song At The Champions League Final

The powers that be in the National Basketball Association apparently decided that the annual All-Star Game and surrounding weekend activities were not Fergalicious enough for their liking. So, they enlisted Fergie (of Black-Eyed Peas fame, not of Manchester United fame) to sing The Star-Spangled Banner prior to Sunday's game.

It went . . . interestingly.

Fergie, though, can do better than the NBA All-Star game. In order to showcase her true sporting-event performance talents, she needs to sing a song that is just as strange as her performances. A song like the Champions League anthem. At the Champions League final. Yes. YES.

Of course Sunday was not the first time Fergie has made waves while doing music at a major sporting event, but it was the first time she has done this:

The bottom line is this: Fantastic things happen when Fergie performs at sporting events. Now imagine this person singing the Champions League anthem, which does have actual lyrics:

Ce sont les meilleures équipes

Es sind die allerbesten Mannschaften

The main event

Die Meister

Die Besten

Les grandes équipes

The champions

Une grande réunion

Eine grosse sportliche Veranstaltung

The main event

Die Meister

Die Besten

Les grandes équipes

The champions

Ils sont les meilleurs

Sie sind die Besten

These are the champions

Die Meister

Die Besten

Les grandes équipes

The champions

Fergie, singing these lyrics in front of 22 very confused elite footballers before the Champions League final (fi-yi-yi-yi-na-a-a-al) in sensual fashion.

Let's make some soccer.
