Minnesota's new women-led, community-owned club is absolutely rolling right now. 

After tapping into the state's previously unmet desire for a high-level women's soccer team by crowdfunding over $1 million from 3,000 investors, the club then revealed its name, badge and branding — as voted on by community owners — at the end of January: Minnesota Aurora FC.

Brentford manager Thomas Frank said on Thursday Christian Eriksen could be the club's "greatest signing" ever and he hoped the Danish midfielder would be able to make his Premier League debut within a few weeks.

The 29-year-old player joined Brentford as a free agent on Monday, seven months after he suffered a cardiac arrest on the pitch during a European Championship match.

Trinity Rodman was a revelation in 2021. Now the 19-year-old is becoming one of the highest paid women's soccer players in NWSL history.

FC Dallas paid a club-record fee to sign 19-year-old Argentine winger Alan Velasco from Independiente on Tuesday.

The deal, which had been rumored for weeks, is reported to be worth around $7 million.

Unfortunately, her contribution was underwhelming, and with just one goal in 10 games (224 minutes, to be accurate), she is now leaving the team.

Her departure, though, is not without another milestone in Mexican soccer. After joining Angel City FC, Ferrer van Ginkel is the first transfer in history from Liga MX Femenil to the American NWSL.

LONDON — Denmark midfielder Christian Eriksen joined Premier League club Brentford on Monday, seven months after he suffered a cardiac arrest during a European Championship match.

Eriksen, who collapsed during the game against Finland in Copenhagen and was given life-saving CPR treatment in front of shocked fans and teammates, has signed for Brentford as a free agent for the rest of the season.
