Reactions of Vinícius Jr. missing out on the Ballon d’Or vary depending on who you ask. A Rebecca Lowe Vini Jr. rant on the “It’s Called Soccer” podcast showed exactly which camp she is in about the controversy.
Lowe does not think highly of the Real Madrid star.
The 43-year-old pundit is in her 11th year with NBC and has always been a class act if front of the camera. On the latest episode of her show, she uncharacteristically broke that character and went on 40-second tirade about the Brazilian.
Lowe called Vini Jr. “unbelievably classless” after he didn’t attend the Ballon d’Or ceremony and had scheduled big plans thinking he was going to win the award.
Rebecca Lowe Vini Jr. rant
Calling for Vini Jr. to be disqualified for thinking he’d won the award is a little overboard if you ask us.
Her co-host Gary Neville agreed with Lowe and put more of the blame on Real Madrid and the club’s feeling of entitlement and attitude.
Some very heated opinions about the Ballon d’Or controversy. The last time we saw Lowe that angry was her calling Ted Lasso a wanker.
