McTominay left Manchester United last season after spending nearly his entire life with the club. He joined the youth program at five years old back in 2001 and had an emotional exit last season.
It’s been an incredible turnaround for the 28-year-old. Just a year ago he and Manchester United finished eighth in the league. Now he’s an Italian champion.
McTominay logged 12 goals and six assists in the league this season as Napoli claim their second title in the past three seasons.
Napoli needed the victory on the final day against Cagliari to claim the Scudetto as Inter defeated Como on Friday to finish with 81 points. Napoli finished with 82 points.
What a title race and what a season for McTominay.
