Didier Drogba is usually in the news for scoring a cool goal, or scoring a buch of goals or refusing to play in artificial turf, but this weekend he made headlines for doing a very stupid thing in Montreal's 1-1 draw with DC United. Every dirty player knows you have to be aware of where the ref is at all times. Drogba must be out of practice.

This violates every major tenet of playing dirty.
Didier Drogba is 38 years old. He should know by now that you have to wait for the ref to go somewhere else before taking cheap shots at people. This is the kind of behavior we would expect from a teenager, not a veteran. You get your licks in when the ref isn't looking, even if it takes a little while. Patience is a virtue.
Either that or he just didn't want to play anymore and was looking for an easy out.
It's said that with age comes wisdom. Drogba just proved that to be false.
