A little while ago, I wrote about Andrey Arshavin and his slow and painful descent into obscurity. To summarize, having failed to make an impact at Arsenal after three years, the Gunners shipped him back to Zenit, where he effectively did nothing. He was then handed off to Kuban Krasnodar, where he continued to be pretty much useless.
It was a depressing tailing off of a career full of promise, and unfortunately for Arshavin, it would get worse still.
Krasnodar dumped him, on account of the aforementioned uselessness, on Kairat Almaty, a team in the Kazakhstan Premier Liga. Yes, Kazakhstan. It can't really get much more depressing.

However, you have to give credit to Arshavin, he's found a new lease on life in Kazakhstan. He's even got a little bit of magic left in those boots.
I'm not sure he's scored a goal better than that, even in his prime. That tally takes him to five goals and seven assists in 17 appearances for the season. Not bad for a 35-year-old who most people, including myself, wrote off completely.
