Must-Watch Highlight: Glorious Backheel Finish From K League Action

The latest news from the Bundesliga — which committed to a May 16 restart but has since seen the entire Dynamo Dresden squad placed in a two-week quarantine — showcases just how complicated the entire process is for returning to the pitch. But the good news is that South Korea’s K League kicked off on Friday and rolled through the weekend.

On Sunday, Gangwon defeated Seoul 3-1 and you need to see the match-winner.

Seoul took the lead in the 36th minute after Park Dong-jin’s effort from the edge of the area took a heavy deflection before going crossbar down, but Gangwon equalized in the 52nd through Kim Ji-hyeon. That set the stage for the glorious winner from Cho Jae-Wan in the 85th minute.

It’s a rapid Gangwon counterattack, but the final ball initially appears to have been hit with too much pace and behind Cho. No worries — with one poetic swivel of the left leg, Cho balletically secured three points for his side.

One minute later, Kim Seung-Dae put the finishing touches on the victory with a curled finish from the top of the area.
