Tim Cahill Punts A 45-Yard Screamer Because He's A Bad Man

Tim Cahill can’t stop, and he won’t stop. The 36-year-old returned to his native Australia to finish his career, but it looks as if he’s only just getting started.

His storied career includes successful stints with Millwall, Everton and the New York Red Bulls, and his return to Australia with Melbourne City has been one of the major talking points of the new A-League season.

Cahill has collected 94 caps and 48 goals for Australia, including clutch 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying goals against Jordan and the United Arab Emirates.

Cahill is perhaps best known for his screamer against the Netherlands at the 2014 World Cup, and his goal on Saturday against city rivals Melbourne Victory was even better.

His first time strike from 45 yards out flew into the top corner, leaving the keeper no chance. It’s the hit of a lifetime, but for Tim Cahill, it’s just another bit of violence in the ever expanding portfolio.

“For so long Tim Cahill has been the main story, and now he’s writing the damned script!” What an absolute legend.

That's two wins in two matches for Melbourne City, who sit atop the A-League table with Sydney FC.
