Galatasaray had plenty of fun with their 3-0 victory on Sunday clinching the league title and letting a Fernando Muslera penalty kick happen in the final minutes of the game.
The former Uruguay national team goalkeeper, who has been Galatasaray’s keeper since 2011, was the one to step up to the penalty spot in the closing act with his side leading 2-0.

This was the second goal of the 38-year-old goalkeeper’s career. His first goal also came from the penalty spot for Galatasaray 13 years ago.
Some fans were surprised that Victor Osimhen didn’t take the penalty kick as he is currently in the lead for the Golden Boot with 25 goals. He has a four-goal cushion ahead of second place.
Not everyone was a fan of Galatasaray’s stunt at the end of the game. Rival Fenerbahce manager José Mourinho took exception to the Muslera penalty kick arguing it showed Galatasaray’s true character.
"The way you celebrate championships shows your human condition. Today’s championship celebrations were like a summary of the stories during the season. When it was 2-0, they made the goalkeeper kick a penalty, which was a great image to show how humane they are,” Mourinho said.
Fenerbahce sit second in the league nine points behind their bitter rivals.
