England Stars Sancho, Abraham And Chilwell Busted After Video Shows Trio Partying

Chelsea stars Tammy Abraham and Ben Chilwell are in hot water along with Borussia Dortmund’s Jadon Sancho after video was released from a party held in London this past weekend.

Abraham, celebrating his 23rd birthday, came home to a large group of friends and family ready to surprise him. His Chelsea teammate Chilwell and Dortmund’s Sancho were among the group.

Unlike the United States, England is actually still trying to stop the spread of COVID-19 and has the “rule of six.” This law bans gatherings larger than six people in an effort to halt the increase in cases. Breaking the law could result in a £100 fine that increases with each offense.

Abraham has apologized for the party while also saying he had no idea it was going to take place.

"On Saturday evening I arrived home to find a small surprise gathering had been organized for me with family and close friends to celebrate my birthday," Abraham said to Sky Sports. "Although I was totally unaware this was planned, I would like to wholeheartedly apologize for the naivety shown by all for the organization and attending of this gathering.

"I recognize that I have a responsibility both in my professional and personal life to honor and respect the guidelines and deeply regret that this took place. All I can do now is learn from it, apologize to everyone and ensure it never happens again."

Sancho issued his apology through Instagram.

Jadon Sancho apologizes for his party antics.

The three England stars are scheduled to meet up with the international squad this week. It’s not clear what, if any, punishments will be bestowed on the three partiers. Last month youngsters Phil Foden and Mason Greenwood were dropped from the England squad after breaking COVID-19 rules for an Icelandic hook-up.

Dortmund has stated its disappointment with Sancho after he missed the club’s last Bundesliga match due to a non-COVID related respiratory illness. He also wasn’t at training that week as a precaution. Seeing the player breaking COVID rules and partying decently ticked off the club.

Chelsea has yet to comment on Abraham and Chilwell’s weekend fiasco.

There is one huge takeaway from all this: don’t film yourself doing illegal things. Stop incriminating yourself, people. Oh, and be mindful of others when there is a global pandemic that has killed over one million people.
