Weston McKennie is in some of the best form of his career as the USMNT and Juventus midfielder has lit up Serie A this season.
He’s arguably been the best player for Juventus in the 2023-24 campaign and one of the top midfielders in the Italian league. One McKennie statistic raised eyebrows among fans.
Since the start of the calendar year only one player in Europe’s top five leagues has more assists than him. Kevin De Bruyne.

That’s some pretty good company to be in. Seven of McKennie’s nine assists this season have come in the last three months.
With the American playing so well we’ve decided to track down all his assists so far this season.
One thing for certain is that Serie A side Frosinone must hate playing against McKennie. The American has recorded five assists against them in three meetings.

It’s worth remembering that McKennie wasn’t even in Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri’s plans before the season start. Allegri had told McKennie he should look for a transfer out of Juventus after the American had returned from an unsuccessful loan spell with Leeds United.
McKennie decided to stay and fight his way back into the squad. Bans to Paul Pogba and Nicoló Fagioli allowed McKennie to get his foot in the door of the starting XI and he hasn’t looked back since.
McKennie has started 24 of Juventus’ first 26 Serie A matches this season.
