We really don’t think enough people understand just quite how hard ice hockey is to play. You have to skate around the rink, which is hard enough as it is, while avoiding 200 pound athletes that want to put you on your back all while carrying around a narrow 6 foot long stick that you use to push around a puck that is all of 3 inches in diameter. Oh yeah, you are also strapped into around 15 pounds of padding and have to wear a helmet that doesn’t exactly help your peripheral vision. We know that soccer is a hard sport, we think it’s the most physically demanding sport on the planet, ice hockey is just incredibly hard as well.
But that’s apples and oranges, or at least it was, until Southampton F.C. decided to try their hands at Canada’s favorite pastime. They were bad at it, as if you needed us to tell you that.
We could do without the overplayed Avicii song, but that’s what we get when a club’s official YouTube channel panders to the general public.
