Coutinho’s Liverpool Return As Hero Is Jamie Vardy’s Confirmation As Villain For Leicester City

Coutinho is back and thirsty for scoring. On his second EPL star of the season, he assisted Mohammed Salah with a beautiful cross for the first goal and then brilliantly scored a free-kick that sent Liverpool to a 3-2 win over Leicester City on Saturday.

After all the rumors that put him in the orbit of Barcelona, Coutinho ultimately remained in Jurgen Klopp’s side and has proven once more how important he is for Liverpool’s aspirations.

Leicester City put up a good fight throughout the game. Although Shinji Okazaki managed to score the Foxes' first goal of the match shortly before the first half’s final whistle, Jordan Henderson increased Liverpool’s lead to 3-1 after a lethal counter-attack in the 68th minute.

Barely a few seconds later, Jamie Vardy scored with a header and infused the local side with high hopes and morale.

Both teams were playing at frantic speed and had good chances of putting the ball in the back of the net.

It was Leicester City that came closer to scoring as the referee awarded a penalty kick after Simon Mignolet made a tackle on Jamie Vardy.

As Vardy raced toward the ball that stood still on the 12-yard mark, it was clear that he could become the hero of the game by scoring the equalizer. However potent, his shot was saved by Mignolet and the Reds secured the victory. Within five minutes, Vardy went from hero to villain.
